In my time, I’ve learnt to cherish the present and not dwell on the past; reflect and savor the precious moments life has to offer; be determined in pursuit of my goals; and resilient in the face of adversity.   But above all, I’ve stayed true to myself – in both business and life.

I left the corporate world.  Life without the Board Room trimmings has not been easy but I chose the path less travelled, or the high road as some call it.  I summoned all the things I found out in the hard times and good, and embarked on a business venture I believe is a reflection of my ideals and commitment to the community of St. Helena Bay and surrounding towns.

So, join me over the next few months as I discuss topical business issues to consider when starting and managing a business, as well as some anecdotal insights into the life of a corporate executive.

In the first column I deal with the relationship between thought leadership (vision) and strategy with a view of developing business objectives to promote organic growth and commercial viability in a turbulent economy and dynamic operating environment.

Until next time, stay true to yourself.
